Review: SpaRitual Nurture Collection / Spring 2016

Hey everyone,

today I want to share some swatches of the new Nurture Collection by SpaRitual for Spring 2016.

SpaRitual contacted me and asked if they could send me their new shades and I was super excited, because I have never tried any of their polishes so far!

When I opened the package, the first thing I saw was a hand written note and this cute little make up bag that they included, so adorable! And you can never have enough of those.. πŸ˜‰

The polishes were individually wrapped in tissue paper and inside the bag. This is how the complete collection looks like:

I love the colour selection, although I wasn’t so sure about the blue glittery polish and the purple shimmer one. All in all they are really pretty spring colours though and I was excited to start swatching! So let’s get cracking!

So first up we have the blue shimmer filled with glitters called Affection. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this one, it looked much prettier on the nails than in the bottle! I used two coats for this swatch, topped with HKgirlTopcoat by Glisten&Glow (as always, I topped all my swatches with this topcoat).

This won’t exactly be a polish I will be reaching for all the time bc it’s just not quite my style, but it applied beautifully, even with all the glitters in it!

Next up is Caring, a creme mint shade. Always love a mint polish, even though I own far too many already πŸ˜‰

It applied nicely in three thin coats, maybe you could get away with two thicker ones if you applied more carefully but because I can’t be bothered to wait too long in between coats I did three thin ones and was satisfied with the opacity.

Next is the shimmery purple I was dreading a bit to be honest, I really am not a fan of shimmer finishes! But when applying Supportive, I was actually blown away: A super easy one coater! I didn’t even do another coat bc I wanted to show you how opaque it was in one! And on the nail, I actually quite liked the shimmer! Definitely a positive surprise for me with this one! πŸ™‚

of course you always have to be a bit careful with application with these kinds of polishes, because you can see the brushstrokes. I found it really easy to apply the polish without leaving to many brush marks on it though, so that’s another bonus!

My first favourite from this collection: Gentle! This is such a beautiful cream shade! It’s not exactly nude, not off white, just Β a sort of creme. And it’s like nothing I have in my collection!

Application was like with all the creme polishes in this collection, I did three thin coats for full opacity, but you could also get away with two thicker ones.

Tender is a creme teal shade, which also applied like the other two cremes. For some reason, teal just isn’t a color that I reach for very often. Nonetheless this is a lovely polish for anyone who does like this shade πŸ™‚

My other favourite from this collection is Loving, a beautiful bubblegum pink! Again, three thin coats for this swatch, topped with topcoat. This will look gorgeous in the summer when my skin is a bit more tan, although it’s already making me look tan in the picture πŸ˜‰

So, overall, I really enjoyed swatching the SpaRitual spring 2016 collection and was pleasantly surprised by some of the colours I wasn’t thought I was going to like at first!

I hope you enjoyed this post! πŸ™‚

Lots of Love,
