Nail art: Glisten&Glow

Hey everyone,

so you’ve heard me talk about Glisten&Glow so many times before, as Jill makes my holy grail topcoat, called HKgirl! Seriously, if you haven’t tried this then I don’t know what you’re doing with your life – go buy it NOW!

But if you didn’t know (because you’ve been living under a rock), Jill also makes some gorgeous polishes!!

I don’t own that many of them yet, but the ones I do own are all amazing, honestly!

Something I am super impressed about with Glisten&Glow is that she makes awesome holo polishes, but she also makes some killer creme polishes! And you all know how much I love my creme finishes!! For some nail art I did recently I combined both and I love the result!

After chatting to her on and off for a few years now, I finally got to meet her when she spontaneously invited me to the Cocktails&Colors event that she co hosted with Cupcake Polish and Different Dimension in Vegas for CosmoProfNA. I can’t remember it correctly, but I think this year was the third year they did this event. It was the first time I went to CosmoProfNA so it was also the first time I was able to attend the Cocktails&Colors event and you can read all about it here.

When I tried to pack all the goodies from the enormous swag bag we got at the event into my suitcase, I sadly had to leave the container the Glisten&Glow goodies came in behind because it just wouldn’t fit! 😦 I did take a picture though because it was just TOO DAMN CUTE!!

Everything Jill contributed to the swag bag was in this little chinese food box, how freakin’ adorable is this?! I nearly died a little when I realised I had to leave it behind 😦

Anyway, let’s get into the polishes that were inside!

The two polishes on the left are called Snorkel In St. Thomas (blue) and ATV In Aruba (berry). These two are from her current Experience The Islands collection and creme polishes. The other two polishes in this collection are just as stunning and I need to finally go ahead and purchase them because I don’t think I can live without them!

The middle two products are the Glisten&Glow cuticle oil in the scent White Peach Sangria which smells absolutely divine and a chapstick in the scent Berry which I haven’t broken the seal on yet because I’m going to contain myself and wait for winter time when I will really be needing chapstick badly!

The two left polishes are from the Glisten&Glow Pirate’s Booty collection which will be launching on 08/26/2016. Shimmer Me Timbers is a gorgeous dark teal green holo and Aye Spy Doubloons is a glittery gold with some added holo. Both are super pretty and I got a sneak peek at the whole collection at the Cocktails&Colors event, they’re all pretty damn awesome!!

This is the look I went for, I can’t help it that I think of mermaids every time I see greenish/blueish/tealish holos!!

I really love the combo of these two, I used WhatsUpNails scale vinyls to create the pattern and of course I topped it with Glisten&Glow HKgirl Topcoat – who would have thought, right?!

It even looks like I did a super cool gradient with the holo but that’s just the awesome polish doing its shifty magic in the light, so I can’t take the credit for that one πŸ˜‰

I tried to link all the products I mentioned so you can drop everything right now and by them! πŸ˜‰

I hope you enjoyed my little ramble on how much I love Glisten&Glow and Jill and just to prove it,I’m gonna insert a silly cute picture of us when we met at the event too!

But seriously, Jill is sooo sweet and it was so lovely to finally talk to her in person, I wished we could have spent more time together and I am hoping I’ll see her again very soon, hopefully before Vegas time comes around again next year πŸ˜‰

Lots of Love,
